World Cup Fever

An english version for a change.

Well the Soccer World Cup is now under way and we got initiated with a bang. The Korean-Togo game started @ 22h00 but the festivities started @ 14h00. I'm talking hundreds of thousands of people here, I'm talking about a full Seoul World Cup Stadium, closed streets filled with a sea of Red. I'm sorry but our little hockey scene is nothing compared to this. To be honest, it's pretty exciting, even if I don't like the sport.

This basically introduces today's activities. Tina and I walked in Itaewon blvd for some touristy sightseeing and eating. We then met up with our hosts, Gino and Louise on our way to the Seoul Worls Cup Stadium around 13h30. We got there and lineups were already underway, remember, the game starts @ 22h00. Anyways, that's that!

We had supper with Gino's Korean classmates, which he finishes today btw. Finally, out jet lagged bodies dragged themselves to the University where we immersed ourselves in national chants waiting for the game to start. Now that's what travelling is all about, living the local scene.

Short blog for today but that's it. So far so good, having a great time. Oh, and did I say that I missed my work! Ah! Well WoW anyways.

Well take care back home and blog you soon. XOXO
